With cancer awareness perpetually on the rise, the collective urge to protect our skin from damaging rays has increased tenfold right along with it.
Just a few short years ago, achieving an orange-hued glow courtesy of
a tanning bed was not only the norm but also the beauty ideal. Because
tanning both naturally and unnaturally obviously leads to skin cancer
and premature aging, the trend has pretty much died out.

being said, mastering the perfect sun-protection routine isn't always
easy. With everything from SPF serums to chalky lotions on the market,
it's hard to know if the measures you've taken and the products you've
chosen are actually helping. Fortunately for us, innovators from L'Oreal
have come up with a tiny invention that's about to make our lives so
much easier.
In January of this year, creators from the L'Oreal Group debuted this tiny, wearable device that measures UV exposure
To measure sun exposure, all you have to do is snap a photo of the
device through the app. That then relays important information about
potential risk factors, and as UV exposure increases, the patch itself
changes color. The disposable device will work for five full days.
